Simplifying your Windows Operation

You got a new Computer Congratulations! The first thing I would like you to learn are 3 keyboard shortcuts that are a must for any Windows user. They not simplify the using of your computer, but will definitely help you speed up your handling of the Windows Operating System.

Have you noticed the Windows key on your Keyboard? It's the key with the Windows logo on it and is usually located beside the Ctrl key on the left hand side. Pressing it will perform the same function as when you press the Start Menu button on your Windows. But, you can also perform several functions when you press the Windows key along with other keys on your keyboard. But, I would like you to remember and use the following combinations which would improve your productivity.

Win Key + D	This will minimize all the open windows on your system and show you the Desktop. This is useful when you suddenly want to access your Desktop and have a lot of open windows to minimize. Pressing Win Key + D again will get you back all the Windows that have been minimized.
Win Key + E	Opens up the Windows Explorer. This is a faster way of opening your Windows Explorer instead of right-clicking on the Start button and selecting Explore or trying to find the Windows Explorer in the Start Menu.
Win Key + F	This will launch the Windows Search too.
Win Key + R	This will launch the Run Command directly so you don't need to click on the Start button and select Run. This key combination is especially very handy if your Operating system is Vista as the Vista's Start menu does not show you the Run command by default.
Win Key + L	This will lock up your Windows XP Computer when you want to be away from your Computer for a while.
